The Home of Union College
Barbourville is an ever-expanding southeast Kentucky town. In 1861, it was the site of Kentucky’s first Civil War skirmish. This famous battle is reenacted every year in September during the Living History Days festival. Proud of its pioneer heritage, Barbourville is also home to the Daniel Boone Festival each October. Union College is located in Barbourville, allowing prospective students of the area the opportunity to not have to travel all that far to get a quality education. Not just a place for tourists and visitors, homemakers will also find much to love in Barbourville.
